What is an NVQ? 

NVQ's are based upon assessment of work based competence and evidence of experience and knowledge. There are no formal examinations.

This NVQ will be of interest t the following:

Individuals working in any setting where advice and guidance services are offered.
 
        Managers of advice and guidance services who are keen to improve the quality of support and professionalism offered to their clients.
 
        Trainers who themselves want to work towards the NVQ Assessors and Verifiers qualification.

This qualification will:
 
Give individuals a nationally recognised accreditation for current skills and expertise.

  Provide a framework for continuous personal development.

Set standards to provide a quality professional service.
